GIRO ALPINO is a collaboration between A KIND OF GUISE and BASSO BIKES. Two family-run companies connected by a belief in making things well, close to home.

At its centre: the Basso Diamante, handmade in Italy from Toray carbon fibre, finished in an exclusive GIRO ALPINO colourway. Around it: a capsule of technical riding pieces and off-bike garments, including two hand-assembled patchwork pieces made from leftover performance fabrics. The visual identity of the project is the work of Munich-based designer Mirko Borsche, a long-time collaborator of A KIND OF GUISE.

To mark the launch, five riders carried the bike from Basso’s Clubhouse in Bassano del Grappa to A KIND OF GUISE’s flagship store in Munich, four days, across the Alps, through rain and snow.

The route held. The spirit held.
