Where We’ve Been This Weekend: From California trails to the heart of Milan design

This past weekend took us to two very different places, each special in its own way.

At the Sea Otter Classic in Laguna Seca, our bikes were part of one of the most important cycling events in the world. Meanwhile, in Milan, we joined forces with Faema during Design Week — bringing cycling culture into a new kind of space.

Two continents, one shared approach: showing up where it matters, through the people and brands we believe in.

Milan Design Week – Spazio Faema

During Fuorisalone, Basso was hosted inside the Faema flagship store in Via Forcella — a space where design, technology, and coffee culture come together.

The installation celebrated the meeting of two Italian excellences: the handcrafted precision of Basso bicycles and the iconic heritage of Faema coffee machines.

A shared vision connects both brands — bringing performance and beauty into everyday life through objects made to be used, but also admired.

Sea Otter Classic – Laguna Seca, California

At Sea Otter we chose to be present through the connections we’ve built over time.

The Palta Off White was shown at the Assos booth, set up with Ortlieb bags. Another Palta — in the Enough Team Edition — was part of the Neversecond space. Two custom Sempre Veloce builds were also on display: one with Fulcrum and one with Campagnolo. And on the ground, Mattia De Marchi was racing and sharing his story as a Basso Lifetime Grand Prix athlete.
