Bassano – Badia is a cycling adventure that connects two iconic destinations for bike enthusiasts: Bassano del Grappa and Badia, in the heart of the Dolomites.

This route is designed to link these two landmarks while taking you along some of Northern Italy’s most breathtaking roads; from major alpine passes to the rolling hills of Veneto. Every kilometer offers stunning views and the pure joy of cycling surrounded by nature.

Choose Your Bike and Starting Point

You can choose your starting point: start from Badia and ride to Bassano, then return the next day, or start from Bassano, ride to Badia, and return to Bassano the following day.

Adventure awaits from Badia or Bassano

Badia > Bassano May 15 and 16

For those starting in Badia, the first day begins on May 15 at 8:00 AM from Hotel Melodia del Bosco. The route covers about 160 km with 2,500 m of elevation gain, combining iconic climbs like Passo Campolongo with fast stretches across the plains. There are two refreshment stops along the way to recharge. The day ends in Bassano del Grappa, celebrated with an aperitif, dinner, and an overnight stay at in Bassano at our partner hotel.

On the second day, May 16, riders depart at 7:00 AM from the Bassano Club House after a hearty breakfast. The return to the Dolomites spans roughly 180 km and 3,300 m of elevation gain, featuring two additional refreshment stops. Riders can choose between the road or gravel route depending on their bike and riding style. The day concludes at Hotel Melodia del Bosco making it a great chance to share stories with fellow cyclists.

Bassano > Badia May 16 and 17

For those starting in Bassano, the first day begins on May 16 at 7:00 AM from the Bassano Club House, after a substantial breakfast. The route towards the Dolomites covers around 180 km with 3,300 m of elevation gain, including two refreshment stops and the option to take the road or gravel route. The day ends at Hotel Melodia del Bosco, with dinner and an overnight stay.

The second day on May 17, returning to Bassano del Grappa, starts at 8:00 AM from Hotel Melodia del Bosco. Riders tackle first Passo Campolongo and the remaining 160 km with 2,500 m of elevation gain, combining iconic climbs with faster stretches. There are two refreshment stops along the way. The day concludes in Bassano del Grappa at the Bassano Club House.
