From Milan to Toulouse:
Diletta and her Tera-travel

Few weeks ago, Diletta Dissegna, a sportive girl from Bassano del Grappa, relied on us for her nine days of bike travel, from Milano to Toulouse. Every kilometer on one of our bikes.

To face this challenge we suggested her to ride our gravel bike “Tera”, the first bike bi-material and semi-cushioned, studied to offer the best riding experience and to explore new horizons.

The passion

Diletta is a true cycling lover. She says: “it’s a slow journey and you manage to travel paying attention to many things, you have a full experience. You look around you and you are able to live 100% the place where you are”.

Doing sports, it’s her way to relax, challenging her body limits. Her passion for cycling was born when she was living in Netherland, where she discovered amazing landscapes, opened her mind and reconnected with herself.

On the second day, she left Milano and reached Liguria by bike. She stopped in Finale Ligure, where some local people cooked her dinner, enthusiastic about Diletta’s journey.

At dawn the departure: rain, wind, storm. She even got tonsillitis due to the weather, but nothing could stop her. She arrived in Imperia in the evening. This first stage was quite unpleasant due to the heavy traffic, the restless rain and the strong wind. Despite the weather and all the difficulties, Diletta, riding her bike, was able to book an Airbnb room for the night in Imperia.

On the third day, she reached Cannes. The trip along the Nice coast has been very pleasant: bicycle lanes and flowery landscapes. On her road, she met several athletes, they have been able to awaken her competitive soul, thanks to this she managed to give her best.

Moving slowly from the coast, she arrived in Draguignan, a Provence small town. Unfortunately, the tonsillitis got worst and the fourth day had been very difficult to face: 50km, alone, on an unpaved road. Here Diletta could use all Tera potential, despite her heavy luggage, her bike was easy to drive and safe even on the hardest roads.

She spent the night in Draguignan. the day after she rode to a Provence village: a pleasant journey, among lavender fields and flowery landscapes. During the next days, she moved to south: through a marshy area in the Camargue regional reserve, she arrived again on the coast, full of dirt paths among sand dunes. Eventually, she got to north Cataluna, where she met the Pirenei mountains and faced climbings again.

Her destination was now near, she left the Pirenei mountains to Carcassone, where she was again surrounded by fields, that accompanied the last beautiful bike lane with a marvelous channel on her side.

We are so glad we could be on Diletta side during this amazing experience, which she had been dreaming of for so long and, more importantly, we are proud of our client’s positive feedback, who relied on to fulfill this great adventure.
